This blog is to show and demonstrate what the center "Pentru Tine," means to the children of Iargara, Moldova. It's truly amazing on how much the people who work at the center really help these children out. I just wanted to give you a feel of what you are donating too! Thank you for having a big heart!

Clothing Drive!

Attention!!

JuneBug will be holding a jacket drive starting after Thanksgiving and will continue until the second week of December. There will be two different locations that you can drop off used clothing, jackets, gloves and hats. We appreciate any and all of your help!

Remember all donations will be going to the children ages 2-18 in Iargara, Moldova! To think that this holiday season you can brighten up a child's life by providing one of your old jackets, gloves or hats. For another option you can donate on our blog and we will purchase items for these children.

The Wonderful Children You Are Helping

Olga, is a 12 year old girl with down syndrome. The center is a place for her to receive some schooling, along with positive attention in a loving enviornment. In Iargara, Moldova children with disabilities are not allowed to go to the regular school due to parents thinking they will interfer with their child's learning.

Iura Fararu is in the 8th grade and is 14 years old. This young man has a brother with a disablity and his mother doesn't work. Due to these circumstances this young man misses alot of school so he can help around the house and help bring in money. The donkey you see in this picture is his main form of transportation for his family. He is very shy and won't discuss much with other people due to the disaster in his home.

Lenuta Arnaut is 12 years old and is in the 5th grade. This young woman has a mental disablity and lives in a  socially vulnerable home. Her mother and father are alcoholics and her brother is currently in prison due to his alcoholism and battery on another person.

Beginning the Journey

If your reading this blog then you are aware of the partnership that was developed on October 14, 2011 between Jamie Frits- Peace Corps Volunteer in Moldova, and Wendy BigBie- Owner of JuneBug clothing in Atlanta, Georgia.

The exciting news that we have for this week is the "Jacket Drive." Wendy has generously offered to take up the challenge on starting a drive for the children in the Center ages 2-18. This drive will be collecting jackets from all over the states and Wendy will be storing them at her house until she has collected a jacket for each individual child. This will be our very first "Clothing Drop in Iargara, Moldova!"

It's truly amazing the love, heart, sweat, and admiration it takes to put something like this together. It is taking that step in your life and recognizing the fulfillment that one can receive just by helping others. If in any way your heart is pulling to help these children in Iargara, Moldova please do so. I promise you not a single child at that center will walk away with a sad face.
